The Knit and Stitch community is a way of bringing people together to create projects that will benefit our local community. Knitters, stitchers and crafters are often at a loss to find recipients for their handiwork and are eager to find an outlet for their creative achievements.

As a group we identify local groups and projects that may need items. This may be warm items for people through the winter months, it could be baby things for maternity wards,  or things for our patients via the district nurses.  We also make handmade crafts and sell at the local market and craft fairs to raise money that is then donated back to our local community. We meet on a regular basis to discuss our future projects and goals.

The photos below are the resident “Bee Creative” knitters at Bee Friends, who meet on a Thursday morning in the Parish Hall, together with an example of their handiwork.
