Providing a safe and supportive place for anyone affected by memory issues, their families and loved ones. Connect and socialise with people who understand.

The Elton Memory Café began in March 25 after the local PCSO and members of the Frodsham, Helsby and Elton Community Partnership highlighted a need within the local community. It was created to support people living with memory loss and their carers, providing a safe, welcoming space to share experiences, find information, and reduce isolation.

Run by 10 volunteers, the café meets fortnightly on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month, 11am–1pm, in the church hall in Elton. Attendance has steadily grown, with between 10–15 visitors joining each session. Carers especially value the chance to connect, share tips, and access resources.

More recently, the café has extended its welcome to all local residents, offering companionship, a listening ear, and signposting to support services. With its friendly atmosphere, flexible activities, and dedicated volunteers, the Elton Memory Café is becoming a valued hub for the whole community.
