Bee Friends

The idea for a group like Bee Friends was initiated in 2019, but before plans could be put into place, Covid-19 restrictions put a halt to proceedings. This only strengthened resolve, and when lockdown restrictions were eased, Bee Friends emerged.
The Hive was launched in Castle Park in January 2022, and it officially opened in March of the same year. Unfortunately, this venue wasn’t the ideal space for people to meet and talk, and in November 2022, Bee Friends found its new home at the Parish Hall.
Bee Friends set out to create a place of welcome; a safe, warm space where people can go for free. No one will ever be turned away, regardless of who they are or their circumstances.
We now regularly feed 60 plus people at our regular Thursday morning sessions, in a warm, welcoming, friendly, and busy atmosphere. Our clients tell us what a difference these sessions have made to them. Many arrive knowing no-one and it has been wonderful to see friendships develop, and new connections being made. We continue to work closely with our local NHS Social Prescribing Team and many local groups/organisations to ensure that we can ‘signpost’ people to other appropriate local and statutory services, and vice versa.

Bee Friends is held in Frodsham Parish Hall on Church Street, every Thursday morning from 10.00 to 12.00. We serve coffee, tea and biscuits. And it’s free!
The last Thursday in every month is a soup day, where, in addition to coffee, tea and biscuits, we serve a nice bowl of hot soup, bread and cakes, starting at 12.00. All free!
In addition to the regular Thursday morning sessions in the Parish Hall, Bee Friends also organises other activities, such as musical performances, day trips and other celebratory events:
